The Meeting Point

Its 2 hours of muck, speed and adrenaline. We are of various levels of fitness, but we have one thing in common – age is getting the better of us. All you need is a body, a bike and a helmet – and you can bring the dog as well.

Three of us started 6 weeks ago. We dusted off the bikes, put our feet on the pedals, and went mad around mountain bike tracks for a couple of hours. We nearly threw up at the newly christened Chunder Hill and lost our fear (and other things) as we slalomed through the trees and dirt tracks of the Look Out…and this is where the essence of Team Chu-Nder was born.

In the dirt of the forest, and the rains of the hills the spirit of Team Chu-nder was christened. As we explored new depths of pain and loathing we emerged as kindred spirits, and as we found our way home each Sunday from a fantastic mud fest that is now TEAM CHU-NDER we realised we had found something worth creating.

As we approach week seven we have a regular turnout of 7. So we thought we would start a blog to keep us all informed.

So what do you need – A body, a bike and helmet. And courage and a GSOH. We are all in our mid 30’s to 40’s. Fitness is not a pre-requisite and neither is a fit bike.

We work on natural selection – either you or your bike will fail first. Eventually you will get a fitter model.

This is where it all begins (find ‘A’ on the map below)
